IBPS Exams Eligibility Requirements 2022 is the set of standards defined by IBPS (Institute Of Banking Personnel Selection) for applicants applying for the IBPS PO entrance test. Age Limit for IBPS PO
The IBPS PO test has an upper and lower age cap of 20 and 30 years, respectively. On the other hand, candidates from reserve classes receive an age reduction. It should be mentioned that the applicant must’ve been born by or on August 2, 1991, and before August 1, 2001. IBPS gives reserved class applicants age concessions. - SC/ST – 5 years.
- Other Backward Classes – 3 years.
- People with A disability -10 years.
- Former Commissioned Officers, including Emergency Commissioning Officials or Short Service Commissioning Officials. These applicants must have served at least five years in the service and have been discharged at the end of their deployment – 5 years.
- People impacted by the 1984 riots-5 years.
Additionally, those obtaining quotas under ST/ SC/PWD/ OBC and EWS must meet other qualifying criteria. Simply meeting the eligibility requirements for an appointment as a Probationary Officer for the Nodal Bank doesn’t ensure the candidate’s confirmation.
Key Points on Bank Exam Norms
SC/ST and OBC applicants are limited to two cumulative exemptions. If an ST candidate additionally has a physical handicap, the upper age restriction will be reduced by 15 years. Other exceptions will not be permitted. To be qualified for the bank PO position, candidates must present certifications confirming their exclusion category during the interview. The IBPS Age Relaxation is only granted to candidates who meet the criteria indicated in the official notice. The presenting organisation sets the age restriction for bank examinations which may be changed if needed.
Criteria for IBPS PO National identity

- Indian nationality.
- Nepalese or Bhutanese.
- Tibetan refugees, those who immigrated before January 1, 1962.
- A person of Indian heritage relocated to India permanently from Burma (Myanmar), Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Pakistan, or East African territories of the United Republic of Tanzania, Malawi, Uganda, Zambia, Kenya, Ethiopia, or Zaire.

Educational Qualification for IBPS PO
The certification test must be completed by August 2021. To demonstrate that the exam was completed well before the cut-off date, a hard copy of the mark sheet or passing certificate must be presented at the time of the interview. If the result is only available on the university portal or a soft copy of the certificate is offered, you must obtain the certificate in original form and confirm that it has been authenticated by the appropriate University authorities and includes the passing date.
